I've got one of these for making jam but you can also use it for checking how hot the inside of meat is! For turkey or chicken: Ensure that the thickest part of the bird (between the breast and the thigh) reaches at least 70°C for more than two minutes
Ensure that burgers are thoroughly cooked. the temperature of the centre of the burger should reach 75°C.
Steak Well done 71-100'C
Steak medium well- 65-69'C
Steak medium - 60-65'C
Steak medium rare - 55-60'C
Steak rare - 52-55'C
