Château Cheval Blanc 2009 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé, Bordeaux En Primeur, Case of 6 £4200.00
A great success: the 2009 has more Merlot than usual due to a couple of parcels of the Cabernet Franc suffering slightly from heat stress during the growing season. This is a very rich Cheval Blanc, with a delicious density of pure plum fruit and attractive savoury tobacco leaf notes. Huge concentration and great balance of acidity. Long, elegant and pure on the palate, with no traces of over-ripeness. Tight now, this needs time. Drink 2018 to 2040. Technical information: 58% Merlot; 42% Cabernet Franc 13.5% abv This wine is historically very sought after and is offered on a strictly first come, first served basis with a maximum of 1 case of 6 bottles per household - we reserve the right to cancel orders for more than 1 case in the interests of fairness to our customers.
